MOVE-A-THON!

Our MOVE-A-THON is our largest fundraiser of the year. Students gather pledges from friends, family and other community members, then participate in our fun, movement filled event during a school day in the fall. The MOVE-A-THON is also a great chance for students to work together and is a well-loved event for students and their caregivers. Learn more about the MOVE-A-THON on our Events page.

family fun + auction night

The Family Fun + Auction night is a great way for the Parkview community to connect in a comfortable, off-campus, family-friendly setting.  It's also an opportunity to auction off some great experiences & raise funds for field trips for each grade level and other programs funded by your PTO. elementary equity fund

The Parkview PTO is participates in Bellingham Public School's Elementary Equity Project. The Board is excited to take this step with BPS to work towards an equitable distribution of resources and services across all families in the school district.

About the Elementary Equity Project
In 2019, the Parkview PTO and other BPS District Elementary Parent Groups came together with a shared desire to address equity issues related to Parent Group sponsored programming, field trips, stipends and more within the 14 elementary schools. Some parent groups are able to fundraise large sums of money, while other parent groups are limited in their ability to raise the resources needed to provide the same important programs and opportunities for their schools. The “Elementary Equity Project” invites all participating parent groups to share 10% to an "equity fund.” Each participating parent groups will then receive their pro rata share of the funds back based on the number of students receiving free and reduced lunch at their school. In 2019, the Parkview PTO contributed approximately $3,900 to the fund, and in turn we received approximately $1,500 back, which represents our pro rata share based on the number of Parkview students receiving free and reduced lunch. You can find more information about the project on the BPS Website.
